American supermodel Josie Maran was born in Menlo Park, California, began her modeling career at the age of 12, when she was spotted by a local agent in a barbecue restaurant and became a part time model. After she graduated from the Castilleja School in Palo Alto, she then began to pursue her modeling career more seriously and at the age of 17, she signed with a modeling agency in Los Angeles. She was then made her appearance in varous magazines like Glamour, Sports Illustrated, FHM, GQ, Elle, Mademoiselle and many more. She also appeared in some commercials and advertisements including in a music video by Backstreet Boys. Josie also made some apperance in movies such as Van Helsing, The Aviator, The Mallory Effect, etc.
